Dr. Tammy Wallace is a Pensacola native who grew up in Southwest Mississippi. She holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL as well as a Bachelor of Vision Science. Dr. Wallace joined Crosby Vision Center alongside Dr. Bob Crosby in 2009. In 2013, she opened her own practice in Ozark and recently merged with Family Eye Center in order to offer expanded service and expertise to her patients. Dr. Wallace was the first physician in Dale county to provide in-office OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and ERG (Electroretinography) for earlier diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and enjoys providing her patients with a full range of eye care services including caring for challenging conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. She has always taken the time to get to know her patients, to explain their eye conditions and answer their questions. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association and is active in the local community.
Dr. Wallace and her husband live in Ariton with their two children, Mark and Joanna and are active members of Ariton Baptist Church. When not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time outdoors on her small farm, hunting, fishing and participating in half marathons.
