Dr. Samara Perryman completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry where she won the 2017 Alabama Optometric Association Leadership Award and the 2017 Good-Lite Award of Excellence in Pediatric Optometry. She is also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
While at UAB School of Optometry, she took a special interest in treatment and management of ocular disease including dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, as well as pediatric optometry. Dr. Perryman is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Perryman is from Trussville, AL, where she grew up in a close-knit family of four. When not in the office, Dr. Perryman enjoys going to church, spending time with family and friends, hunting, being outdoors, crafting, and spending time with her husband, Calvin, and their yellow Labrador Retriever, Cooper.
